Our Philosophy
The Montessori Method is not only a system of education, but also an entire philosophy for child growth. The key to the method is a carefully prepared environment that ensures exposure to materials and experiences with different skills sets making sure to include different physical and cognitive abilities. Self-motivation and the unique abilities of each student join in meeting the educational needs of the child. The child is free to move about the classroom, talk to others in the class or work with any of the school resources. Freedom with limits, respecting each other, care for the environment, and themselves is what's being taught.
The result is that the child learns from the environment. Montessori children are self-disciplined and independent. They obtain an enthusiasm for learning, an organized approach to problem solving, and well-rounded academic skills.
Spanish Immersion Program
Our Spanish Immersion program is included in our curriculum and is designed to allow for the child to quickly and easily absorb the Spanish Language. Teachers use Spanish as their primary language and with body language, context, gestures, intonation, and visual aids to assist in the learning process children can quickly learn the basics of the language without struggle.
Acquiring a new language is especially advantageous at a young age, as the pronunciation, intonation and structure comes much more quickly and easily. Further, children who learn a second language from an early age consistently show superior mental ability in other fields.
